In the world of social media, content is king. Great content not only engages an audience but also provides value and, together, these elements keep an audience coming back for more.
Creating great content takes time to develop, which is why savvy publishers often repurpose and reimagine their content as the need arises. Truth be told, it’s also a great time-saver. Easter arrives so early on the calendar this year that many of my friends are still committed to their New Year’s resolutions: eat healthily and exercise more. So giving out tempting, delicious, calorie-laden, chocolate eggs wouldn’t be very supportive of me. Hmm, what else can I make that relates to Easter, doesn’t have calories, and will be enjoyed.? Every Good Friday we join our dear friends for their family fish and chip dinner and it has become one of the highlights of our Easter celebrations. The first year we attended this dinner I made a chocolate trifle and it was such a huge success that I’ve been making it ever since. It’s now part of the dinner tradition, and I daren’t show up without it.
This dessert is very inexpensive, easy to make and feeds a large crowd. The recipe is below and I hope you give it a try for your Easter dinner this year. I’m sure it will become a family favourite.

This next DIY project was my daughter’s idea. Last year she knitted about a dozen infinity scarves to give to friends and family for Christmas. On the days leading up to the holidays, I watched with fascination, as she turned massive heaps of knots and tangles into fashionable and snuggly infinity scarves. My initial plan was to have her send in a guest post for this blog, but being a busy student in the last few weeks of her final year at University, that plan fell to the wayside.
